I’ve decided to compare two of Liliana Hecker’s short stories. I really like both of them and I think talking about the curiosity and the naivety of the young girls in the stories will be really interesting. Next I need to still look of that philosopher and write a list of the themes of both and see where they over lap cause they do a lot even though the stories are very different. Both girls really see the world in a new, unfriendly, light by the last few paragraphs of the story. What they knew as real was proven false creating a much unexpected twist. I’m looking forward to the project. I really like the two stories I picked.

Sasha,
I think it would be insightful for you to look up that philosopher. But do note that, even though the name in the story is spelled Berkley, the philosopher's name is George Berkeley. Once you see what he studied, you will understand the connection!

Sasha, now that I think about it, I have a question. How is Berkley spelled in the story? Am I wrong that it's spelled without the "e" in between the "k" and the "l"? Just curious!
